Tropical Splash has made its audience dance in the hot and passionate rhythms of especially soca, calypso, cumbia, reggaeton, salsa, afrobeat, samba, bossanova and even Bollywood on many long and sweaty nights the Funky Amigos deejays running the show with their guests.
The Tropical Splash club, with a focus on deejaying and occasional percussion sessions, is currently on a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic and is looking for a new venue once the smoke clears and dancing is an an option again…
The club was being organized since autumn 2016 till the end of 2018 once a month at Navy Jerry’s in the heart of the modern city center of Helsinki. The main hosts and deejays of the club were DJ Magic Sam and Funky Ville with occasional guests behinds the 1 and 2’s as well as in percussions. Tropical Splash was occasionally organized in the floating club venue of Merikerho next to Merihaka in Helsinki.
