Elephantasyn 4.7. artistiesittelyssä Bahgat Kamel 🫶🪕 Bahgat Kamel on tuore kollaboraatio egyptiläisen laulaja/lauluntekijän ja suomalaisten jazzmuusikoiden kesken. Yhtyeen musiikki on egyptiläistä poppia nimekkään suomalaisen muusikkokaartin tulkitsemana. Bahgat Kamel (laulu), Selim Rantapuro (kitara), Antti Utriainen (piano), Timo Tuppurainen (basso), Timo Antikainen (rummut), Henri Lintula (perkussiot) ja Aarni Häkkinen (trumpetti). Vapaa pääsy! // ENG Bahgat Kamel is a new collaboration between an Egyptian singer-songwriter and Finnish jazz musicians. The band’s music brings together Egyptian pop and the interpretations of a distinguished group of Finnish musicians, creating a unique fusion of Middle Eastern melodies, rhythms, and Nordic jazz expression. Yhtyeen musiikki yhdistää latinalaisamerikkalaiset trooppiset rytmit 1960- ja 1970-lukujen psykedeeliasta inspiroituneeseen sähkökitarasoundiin. Lopputuloksena on hypnoottinen, intensiivinen ja vastustamattoman tanssittava kokonaisuus. Nykyisessä kokoonpanossa kohtaavat kolme kansallisuutta – Peru, Chile ja Suomi – ja muusikot, joiden kulttuurisissa juurissa elävät tämän musiikin ainutlaatuiset rytmit ja perinteet.
