It’s summer time again, it’s Elephantasy time again! Funky Amigos’s annual picnic party will be held this year on Saturday, July 4th in Alppipuisto, Helsinki. The Elephantasy Funky Family Picnic will once again fill the park with great music, delicious food, lively and upbeat children’s area, circus perfomances, bazaar market and above all dancing feet and smiling faces.
The Elephantasy Funky Family Picnic 2026 will kick off at 14 and the notes will sound at 22. There will be again two stages full of music. The larger Elefanttilava will feature Bomba Buena and their sizzling hot Cuban music, Leevi Priha and Dimjami will present a new project of irresistible soulfunkjazzreggaerock fusion, Uña de Gato will fill the park with psychedelic cumbia, and Egyptian singer Bahgat Kamel presents his new band consisting of top names in Finnish jazz music interpreting Egyptian pop music.
The smaller Gorillalava will bounce to the beat of rap music this year. The stage will be taken over by the superb MEERISHOW and one of the biggest names in Finnish underground scene who goes by the name Rontti. In addition there will be and Open Mic session led by DJ Lame.
