The Herbaliser, widely known for their original jazzed out tripping hip hop sound, was one of the first signings to the legendary Ninja Tune record label in UK. Alongside with artists such as DJ Food, Funky Porcini and DJ Vadim, these London-based pioneers showed a path for a completely new musical tribe to be born in later artists like Cinematic Orchestra and Bonobo. Call it what you want, but you know it. Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba, alongside with their live band of seven musicians, will headline this year’s Funky Elephant Festival Friday where they will be celebrating their twentieth anniversary with us. The Herbaliser is currently working on new material, and will also serve a scent of their upcoming material later this year. Trust us, you really don’t want to miss this!
